My faculty recital of mostly chamber music includes the world premieres of three pieces:  Jesse Jones's "Yonder," for bassoon, violin, viola, cello, and piano; John Fitz Rogers's "Still Life With Shadow" for flute, bassoon, and piano; and Mandy Fang's "Lament" for solo bassoon.  I'm incredibly honored to play these new works by Jesse, a friend and former colleague, now at Oberlin; and my wonderful friends and USC colleagues John and Mandy.  Other works by Mark Mellits and Carl Schimmel.  Special thanks to the superb and dynamic NYC-based cellist and DeCoda leader Claire Bryant for staying around in SC following a nearby concerto performance to join us for this concert!
